Plug in

Plug CAR LINK into the USB port your car uses for CarPlay.

Turn on wireless

Switch on Bluetooth and Wi-Fi on your phone.

Pair

Choose Kowan-KA05-xxxx from the pairing list and accept. The last four characters are unique to your device.

Done

It reconnects by itself every time you start the car.

Tip: Start the car first, then wait a few seconds for CAR LINK to power up before pairing the first time.

Troubleshooting

I can't see Kowan-KA05-xxxx in the list
  • Make sure CAR LINK is plugged into the USB port that your car uses for CarPlay.
  • Confirm Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are both on.
  • Unplug CAR LINK, wait 10 seconds, plug it back in and check again.
It won't connect or keeps disconnecting
  • On your phone, remove (forget) the Kowan-KA05-xxxx device from Bluetooth settings, then pair again.
  • Restart your phone and restart the car.
  • Keep your phone close to the adapter while pairing.
No CarPlay screen appears in the car
  • Check that CarPlay is enabled in your car's settings.
  • Try a different USB port if your car has more than one, using the one marked for CarPlay or phone connection.
Do I need to pair every time?

No. After the first pairing, it reconnects automatically whenever you start the car.
